Click on "User CP" near the red Doantions link at the top of the page.

When the User CP page loads, select "Edit Options".

    - Go to bottom of the page, click the "More info..." line under "Avatar" on left side.
    - Click on the avatar of your choice, then click "Submit modifications" at the bottom of the Edit Options page.

After you have 10 or more posts, you can upload a custom avatar by clicking on the "Change Avatar" button on the bottom right of the Edit Options page. Custom avatars must be no larger than 100x100 pixels, and have a file size smaller than 15,000 bytes.

ok that was easy enough. Now how do I get one of my pics small enough to replace the avatar I now have. I have some good hunting pics but cant get them to work as my avatar

If you post one or more of the full-size pictures here, and give a brief description of how you'd like them modified, I or someone else will resize/crop them and then post the modified photo(s) back in this thread. You can then just right-click and save a copy of it on your computer, then upload it as your new avatar.

Remember though, because the avatars end up being so small, you won't be able to see small items or a lot if detail.

Best I could do, but others may be able to do better (give it your best shot, folks!). :)

You with bobcat (cat is too close to the grass color -- you can barely see it in an avatar-size picture):

And the fox pic. The original photo was too tall to crop into a square format for a full-100x100-size-avatar, so I went with 75x100 pixels which turned out to be pretty close to the original photo's proportions, too:

wow I like it! Thanks again. BTW the bobcat does blend in good, but thats why most people around here never kill them because they never "see" them.

Thanks ill check it out. I'm building a rra next. The one in the pic is colt competition hbar. Main upgrade is the jp enterprises adjustable trigger(IT'S SWEEEET!). The factory trigger in the supposed competition gun sucked.
