Was wandering through the mall and a lady at a massage booth tried to talk me into a massage, she was easy upon my eyes, but me carrying my G36 and 2 spare mags kept me from taking her up on her offer.

It got me thinkin though, here in Texas, our southern hospitality often includes hugs & such from "strangers". What if someone hugged me, brushed against me, or this lady walked up and rubbed my back and felt my weapon............?

I have become very comfortable with carrying and have also read posts of ppl whose weapons and inadvertintly become exposed and acted like it was no big deal & all was well....so if for some reason that happens to me i think i will act like no big deal and of queationed, explain its my right and i am legally licsensed to do so.

Sooo long ramble short, has anything like that happened to ya'll and of so, what happened?

My only fear is someone freaking out and screaming "OH MY GAWD HE HAS A GUN"

It has not but realize you can cannot allow your gun to become "exposed" as open carry is illegal in Texas.

This, i realize, but, it can be felt through clothing, without being visually exposed.

And do you really wanna draw attention to yourself or wrestle your way away from someone to keep your weapon concealed?

I don't like strangers trying to hug or touch me. Family already know and I appreciate them.

Strangers NO TOUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't care what anyone thinks of my psyche.

This is true, you cannot open-carry. But true accidental exposure? Nothing to worry about here in Texas, legally anyway. Some states are much stricter about it.

The "freak out" response? If it happens it happens, just be cool, apologize & explain that you're licensed to carry. You'd be amazed at how many people don't even know you can get a license to carry a gun.

Funny you mention the massage though, lol. I was at my favorite parlor a month or so ago. The young lady walked in as I was getting undressed, I carry OWB, and when she came in I just had my shirt off. Her reaction?

    "Oooh, is that an HK?"

    God bless Texas.

if somebody brushes up against your gun and asks about it, just tell them it is your colostomy bag and to be careful or it will break!

Bet they never ask...or touch again!:rofl::rofl:

To me a "happy ending" means an extra 5 minutes of getting my ****ed up back rubbed, lol.

:whistling: Eesh, legally armed people are not what that mall has to worry about.

No arguing that my friend, but as they say, it ain't the years... it's the milage. Lotta miles on this old tank!

On the plus side, my GF is 24 and very indulging. Certainly keeps me... err... young. :whistling:

I was outside the church after my grand nephews First Holy Communion last week. We were gathered with both sides of the family, when my 6 yo nephew announces "Hey Dad, Uncle Al is Packing!" I felt my face go bright red and reached for my hip. I found all was in order. He was pointing to the pocket clip on my folding knife.:embarassed: I was glad to not have to explain myself to the in-laws. I got a scowl over just the pen knife from the grand matriach on the otherside:supergrin:

Yell out, "You touch, you die!" Or avoid any situation where someone could feel your weapon.

In Texas don't know what happens with the general populace but Leo are very understanding, and if it was truly unintentional you'll get a license check and a bit of a talking too.

I had a gal, at church, come in quick for a hug.
I usually try to get my left arm under their's, on my strong side, in order to keep them from copping a feel.
She came in quick and unexpected, but not unwanted.
She got a good feel/grab of the grip on my 27.
She didn't say anything or seem to react.
Later, I wanted to ask about it, but her cancer took a BIG turn, for the worse.
Recently, I asked her husband if she ever commented. (she's been gone a couple years, now and I felt he could handle the question)
He said she never said anything, but her family were big gun folks and if she knew what I had, it probably didn't alarm her.
Their from Nebraska. Gotta love mid-west folk!
