I've been receiving a lot of questions lately thru PM's on how to
get license for their high power rifles,im posting again our
trip to fed during the amnesty (di ko na kasi makita yung luma kong post dito).

FYI people as of today October 3, 2006 there is no word yet if there
will be another gun amnesty, im just posting this so that youll know the
procedures in fed just in case there will be another amnesty in the
    future.

    Mura lang at madali.

    For pistols - P2,000
For high powered rifles, sub machine gun etc.... - P3,000

Here's a step by step procedure for the Gun Amnesty in Camp Crame.

    1st, fill-up a Registration Form.
    This will only take 10mins.
They will enter the serial number of your gun for the transport permit.

    2nd Day
They will give you your Firearm Permit to Transport, and license
    application form.

    3rd (Next day)
Fill-up the forms and bring your gun to camp crame for Ballistics.

    4th (same day)
After Ballistics go to FED Bldg. for stencil.

5th - After stencil go to payment section and your done!

Rifle is now licensed next step go or join
a gun club so they can issue you a Transport Permit from home to
    gun range.

    Other requirements:
Xerox of ID (drivers license, Passport etc.)
Proof of Billing (Meralco, Pldt etc.)
    Businessmen (Business permits)
    Employees (Certificate of Employment, ID)

    Hope this helps!

    Question po:

Once you go thru the process, ibig sabihin ba e ma-aaprove yung application? Wala po ba dyang preliminary step kung saan ive-verify yung serial number nung firearm kung may 'bad' record ito at hindi pwedeng pa-lisensyahan?

    Salamat po!
    :)

Sir fed can verify the serial number (no questions ask), or you can course it through
    your local gunstores.

I think its the same, you need to go to crame and fill up the registration.
Hindi ko lang alam kung paano pag inter-island ang byahe nyo, kelangan pa yata i-clear sa local
    police command center ninyo.

Good idea pero BOGs ang pinaka-maraming sticky. Baka mapuno ang first page sa sticky pa lang.

During the previous amnesty, our local Police Regional Office (PRO)'s FESAG (the regional FED representative) are the ones who processed the application and did the collection of ballistic samples. At the end of processing, the applicant would retain the yellow form.

At one point, FESAG's representative went province-to-province/city-to-city to encourage participation in the licensing of loose firearms. Disseminations were thru the media and gun clubs.

The previous amnesty was interrupted by the election gun ban, but the its previous deadline was extended to take the ban period into account.

I think that the FED would travel from province-to-province (ala NSO) during the amnestry period so that people in the provinces would be encouraged to have their loose firearms licensed.

One thing that discourages people from getting their loose firearms licensed is the hassle of bringing your firearms to Crame just to have the ballistics tests done.

Another one is the fear of gunowners that if and when their firearms are to be deposited in the Provincial Police Office is the risk of their guns to be cannibalized for parts.
