Pharaoh is done with his surgery and doing well. He hasn't walked yet but is experiencing very little pain. We'll keep you updated. :)

I spoke to him on the phone yesterday evening about 4:30 and he wasn't feeling much pain. In great spirits but then of course with a good Morphine Drip running you don't feel much. He did say the proceedure went well.

I spoke to Pharaoh about 30 minutes ago and he's still a might on the groggy (sp?) side but still not bad. The morphine is gone and now he has delauded (sp?). He's suffereing a little on his voice but overall sounds good. He made 35 paces out and 35 back with the walker today so he is up and moving.

Went over and seen Pete tonight. He looks alot better, but still on the drowsy side. Does not yet know when he can go home. He was telling me all the thangs he can not do anymore. He has one big life style change.

I just talked with Pete on the phone and he is doing great. He is up and around and as he said best of all without any pain. He has to shake a low grade fever and they will release him from the hospital. He sounded in the best spirits I have heard in a long time.

Pete called me last night (Saturday) and he is at home with his folks! He broke his fever and they turned his loose! He sounded very good and is very happy to be back in FWB.
I hope to go over and see him in person today!
Maybe I can get him to post something!

I believe the operation will only limit him to forcing him to develop healthier habits....physically he should be able to do more than less, after two replacements I just spent 8 days at Mickey World walked a minimum of 8 hours a day with no pain or disability. Pete will recognize this as a positive lifestlye change.;f

    Pete,

I'm glad everything went well. At least you can recuperate where there is no snow! Glad you can get around on your walker. You'll be firing Glocks in no time. Keep up the good spirits and have a very Merry Christmas for you and your family.

Pete called this afternoon and chatted a bit. He's in good spirits and had been 8 hours with no pain meds. He sounded very happy about the whole thing although he has found out what chairs work and what chairs don't work with his hip right now! :)

    Ho Ho Ho !!!!!

What a Christmas gift I have received!!! Talk about be Blessed, I was given a great gift this Dec. a 48 year body mind and sole over hall. The total hip replacement went great. I have very very little pain, what I do have is mostly from the 20 + inch incision in my right hip. I am truly blessed. (NO PAIN IS GREAT).

I want tell everyone in person from the bottom of my small heart! (Thank you so much for the love and support). It is making recovery a piece ok cake. I am on the road to a full and wonderful recovery. I still have 8 weeks with no weight allowed on the hip. (no more weight than could crush an egg shell.) All because of the technique my Doctor used on me. (no screws, pins, or cements) So when or if I need a revision job done later it will make the job some what simpler).

    Thank you one and all

    Pharaoh
