I've been a user of Microsoft Money for more than 10 years - keeping track of the checkbook, categorizing expenses, and managing personal investment portfolio - but the product is dead now and will have no further releases...

I'm actually running the "2004" version of Money and considering going to Quicken.

Any other personal financial management software anybody would recommend, or do I go with "the king of the hill"?

    TIA!

We are in the same boat.

I'm interested to see what will happen when it stops doing some stuff.

Most sites allow DL of info in Money format. I wonder if they will stop since Money is not going to keep going.

It's gonna SUCK to have to switch this all over, as I've used MS Money for well over a decade.

That's a mighty fine looking link there, buddy - THANKS!!!

Awwww... crap! Just saw that it converts Money 2007 or 2008 - but I'm way back on 2004. Oh well - still probably best to find a copy of 2007/2008 on E-Bay and then take this approach to have all my transactional history.

Not too sure what version I have. (Hmm...think it's '04 as well...)

I just checked and it says my online stuff is good until 1/26/2011. I may hold off on Quicken until I "need" to upgrade.

I just bought Quicken 2010 but haven't done anything with it since. Input on it would be appreciated. If bad, I'll take it back.

I have been using MS Money forever too. The software should not just stop working only the updates. But since I track my investments with it I am thinking I will loose those updates.

I am hoping Quicken has gotten better than the last time I used it. Last time I tried it I absolutely hated it. I ended up giving it away after about a week.

$40.00 - http://moneydance.com/ -- It's cross platform and should meet your needs. I run it on Linux and have set it up for a couple of Winders users as well.

EDIT: Corrected price... last time I paid it was $35.00.
