Is anyone else in Madison County having trouble getting their carry permit? Mine expired on the 13th. Like they always do the SD didn't send out the renewal notice until about three days prior. I mailed it back that same day and have yet to receive my new one. I called on the 19th and all they said was they were backed up.

my wife's expired about 2 weeks before she noticed it.....went to the Chambers County S.O. and got a new one in about 6 minutes.....i told her to go in person instead of waiting for the mail....

+1, mine was a few days expired before I got the reminder in the mail. The sheriff's office is pretty close to where I live so I just renewed it in person.

I've always (since 1991) gone to the courthouse. I've figured it is in my hand as I leave and worth the effort.
