smith and wesson's performance center is making a revolver that is chambered for 10mm. it will also shoot the .40 S&W, both using full moon clips. it is called the 310, if memory serves.

i really want one, but they are well in excess of a grand. i have my fingers crossed that they will make a regular ole factory version that is a bit more affordable.

i feel this would be an outstanding handgun, very versatile, and potentially very fun. while i am dreaming, i would like a 5 incher, round butt, unfluted cylinder. blue or stainless, i don't care.

610 will be slightly cheaper but hell to find.

    I'd much rather have a 610.

I don't care much for PC revolvers, especially with that stupid lock.

I have a 4 inch 610. I love it. With reloading you can work up some loads above and beyond std 10mm. Great woods gun.

I shoot 40 in there every now and then, but I have other revolvers and autos in 40.

wow, i forgot all about the 610. i haven't seen one in years. do they still make 'em? do they use the full moon clip? i could easily struggle by with a 4" barrel.

The 610s are made every few years. They are floating around out there if you look. The 310 is scandium so it is quite pricey.

i had a 610 and didn't care for the way it balanced or transitioned between targets. got a 646 and sold the 610. had the 646 Carmonized and couldn't be happier.
