This is an awesome snack that a buddy of mine told me about. He said that it won some kind of jalapeno cookoff that he went to.

    Ingredients:
    Jalapenos
    Smooth Peanut Butter
    WonTon wrappers

    1. Slice the jalapenos down one side and remove seeds and core.
    2. Spread open jalapenos and fill with peanut butter.
    3. Wet each wonton wrapper and wrap it around a jalapeno.
    4. Heat oil in fryer or pan to 350.
    5. Fry jalapenos a few at a time until the wonton wrapper becomes crunchy and golden in color.
    6. Let the jalapenos cool for 5 minutes. (PB will be very hot)
    7. ENJOY!!!

I was very sceptical about this recipe until I tried them and fell in love with them. My mother thought I was crazy when she saw me making them but she loved them as well. The peanut butter really does go well with the spicy jalapeno. Give it a shot and let me know what you think.

Sort of Mexico meets Georgia meets China.

    Thanks.

Tried it this weekend. For my tastes, it was okay, but not great. I ate three, and threw the rest away. (My wife did not want any and could not see "saving" the rest.) Next time I think I'll smoke/roast the jalepenos first - it'll still be hot, but it'll have more/better flavor, not quite as hot, and not quite as crunchy.

But it was not a complete waste. We experemented with the extra WonTon wrapers. First cream cheese by itself, then cream cheese & salami, cream cheese and powdered sugar, cream cheese and jam. - We had already eaten dinner so most of these were in a 'desert' vein, though my favorite was the cream cheese and salami.

The won-ton wrappers are really good for experimenting. I like mixing cream cheese, a little sour cream and crab meat for a good filling.
