Okay, you knife snobs will not like this. I myself own and have owned from Al Mar to Benchmade and Spyderco knives. I know what a quality knife is, and yet when I stopped into this pawn shop today, I was taken by this little fixed blade.

Blade length is 3-3/4", steel is some unknown stainless.

But I loved the size, balance, shape, and even the flat grind of the blade.

And it was sharp. Razor sharp.

To me, this is practically the perfect fixed-blade EDC.

Does anyone have an idea who makes this? I would guess China, but I really like it.

    Price: $7.50 plus tax

It's got almost perfect proportions. For the price, would make a great beater carry knife.

You could have got a Swedish made Mora for that price.

Already have one. And yeah it's just a few dollars more. But this one has the better sheath.

From the back it almost looked like a Fallkniven F1 with a custom handle. If you had got that for 7.50 I would have been more impressed! :p

Hope Chumley didn't cut himself on that blade.

    Nice find.

I have the older version of that, with a red wood handle. It's actually held up very well and keeps a good edge for what it is. I keep it in the truck for random chores. I think I paid about what you did.

    It is a nice knife.

It is made by winchester in China most likely. I bought a winchester knife a while ago, I still have it. It is decently made, it is a good beater. Be happy you got it for the price of a cheap meal and leave it at that.

I too have several nice knives. However, I also own a couple Winchester knives and have been pleased with them. You did fine and should be proud of your find.
This thread makes me want to head to the local pawn shop and see what I can find.
Look around at W-mart and I bet you can find something close to what you bought.
