My sister gave me this salad recipe because she knew I liked to make Watergate Salad, and this one is even better. She got it from a friend of hers, and just called it Mary Ellen Salad, so I just changed the name to me. It's really good! 1 Package (8 oz.) Cream Cheese (room temperature) 1/2 Cup sugar Cream together these two ingredients. 1 Can (15 oz.) Crushed Pineapple (drained) 1 Can (small) Mandarin Oranges (drained) 1 Jar (small) Maraschino Cherries (drained) 1 Cup chopped Pecans (optional) Add to cream cheese mixture. Fold in 8 oz. of Cool Whip.
