Before long the Chiefs will not be able to afford his income and a more affluent team will have him.
I will be glad when he is gone from this town because I'm tired of hearing his name every hour on a daily basis.

He’s a pretty good quarterback. A while to catch Russell Wilson, but likely will and pass.

....and look how much more time you wasted with your disclaimer no one cares about. Never going to get any of that back.

He's not going anywhere. I do agree the commercials are out of hand. There's too damn many.

Follow up - Pat did sign it and he had the signature added.

It's been a big story here. KC had not drafted a QB in the 1st round since 1983 - and passed on Dan Marino, Jim Kelly, & Ken O'Brien in that draft to draft Todd Blackledge. Oh and fired HC Marv Levy.

A Chiefs drafted QB had not won a game for the Chiefs since the early 80s. It was huge running story/ghost story every year as we trotted out journey man after journey man. Some good, a few great - Trent Green, Alex Smith, Bill Kenney. A lot of mediocre - Damon Huard, Tyler Palko, Steve Deberg, Steve Bono, Matt Cassel, etc. Then add in the dark times, the Herm Edwards/Pioli/Haley/Crennel era, the Jovan Belcher murder/suicide, it had a psychological effect on the city.

So, taking in account the psychology of the KC QB historical dilemma, and the collective excitement of not only the Chief's FINALLY taking a chance again, to Mahomes sitting his first year to work on his game, to winning the MVP in his first season starting, 14-5 as a starter overall, and taking the Patriots to overtime in the AFC Championship (coming from behind three times in the last 10 minute), and there's a lot of of pent up excitement bursting forth just like the 2014 MLB playoffs.

So far it looks like the Chiefs hit a grandslam. Perfect QB/Coach combination.

I wish him well. I saw him play a couple of times in HS as his school was in our district then. They won state once with him I think and got close another time. I hope he does well for the Chiefs for many years.

I watch Mahomes play every chance that I get! The guy is talented and smart. Straight up …… anyone that skilled is going to become a target. Unfortunately, they'll break him and it won't take long.

He is probably the most talented QB to ever play the game. He can do things that seem impossible. If Bruce Lee was a QB.

He certainly doing some new stuff. Add in he’s a home body and seems truly nice and down to earth, it’s almost too good to be true.

Is Kansas City football going to have something nice again? I keep waiting for a shoe to drop lol
