Since I am on vacation I went to the movies today. Saw A-Team, a pretty decent flick with some good 1911 sightings.

Since I was at the movies I missed the mail man and the phone call from my FFL.

My Mammoth ivory 1911 grips are now at the post office waiting for me to pick them up after 9am tomorrow.

My Wilson CQB Compact is at my FFL waiting for me tomorrow to pick up.

Like I said patience is really overrated :(

OK my pity party is over.

You'll have to somehow make it through the night.

Stay up all night watching A Team DVDs.

It was a pretty good movie, worth missing out "stroking" my new grips and my new 1911, not even. Wait that sounded kinda perverse didn't it?

And those A-Team DVDs do not have Jessica Beil in them do they? :)

One cool thing was that they broke out and and used the stainless Mini 14 in the start of the movie, good ole days tribute :) They quickly moved onto using M4s with Eotechs but did keep the 1911s thruout.

I know, due to work I do not get to go to the range very often anymore. I use to live 5 mins from a range and now the closet one is right at 1 hour. So I have to make up for that when I do go:)

Tomorrow will be 500 rds thru the Wilson to break in it and 100 rds thru the Kobra Carry with the new grips to feel it out.

Thursday I am taking my 7 year old shooting at the range for the first time with his Henry Mini-Bolt .22LR

That should be a good day as well :)

Patience is not one of my virtues, I have been waiting for my STI Trojan for 3 weeks :impatient: UPS tracking says it will arrive at my FFL on Thursday. Every passing day feels like a month at this point.

:faint: 3 weeks doesn't seem that bad now. What caliber did you order and where did you order it from?

.45 ACP. My local shop order it from STI. I really thought about 9MM but it seemed unnatural.
