Will the slide internals (firing pin, sleeve, springs etc.) from a gen 4 slide interchange to a gen 3 slide? New to Glock have always been a 1911 and wheel gun man until my son got me started on Glock.

Thanks I'll check it out. The reason I'm asking is that I have 3 gen 4 slide assemblies (19 [9mm], 23 [.40 cal] & 32 [.357 Sig]) that I took in on a trade and have no gen 4 lower. All of my lowers are gen 3. These are complete slide assemblies and show very little wear and run just fine on my son's gen 4 lowers.

No. The following is a picture showing the difference of the internal slides:

Due to the different RSA's, the frames are designed accordingly to function properly.

EDIT: you would have to correlate what the frame would look like (see below picture). Hope it makes sense somewhat...….

Yes I know about the recoil spring difference, I thinking more in the line of the firing pin, liner and the rest that go with that group. Thanks for your help.

Not what I'm interested in. I want to know that if needed I can use parts striped from the gen 4 slides (firing pin, sleeve etc.) in my gen 3 slides. I have plenty of fully functional gen 3 guns and was wondering if parts were interchangeable in the event of breakage. That way I wouldn't be totally dependant on waiting for someone to ship a part to me. I hate to hurry up and wait.

Sell the gen4 slides. Order some spare gen3 parts now before you need them. Pocket the profit.

IMHO - the best approach to reliably obtain the exact information that you seek would be to contact Glock (link below). Ask to talk to a technician - they are helpful and of course knowledgeable.

Let us know the response please. Thanks. :)
