Found this part laying in the floor, I’m front of my safe tonight and don’t know what it is.

I have looked at my owners manuals for my Glocks, HKVP0, Springfield xds 45 and hellcat and it doesn’t look like anything in the parts diagrams. The other guns in the safe are a 70’s Winchester 94 30-30, Recent new howa bolt gun, ruger 10/22, and the gun I think it’s from, an old savage 24 over/under 22/410. I have looked on line at parts diagrams and the images aren’t very good viewed on my phone, (only way to view them). In that room there is also a benelli m1s90, Remington 870 and a Mauser bolt gun. Any help would be much appreciated.

The part is a two piece part. Like a plunger. The part itself with a coil spring that can be removed. The spring is the only moving part as you compress it. The spring fits into a recessed hole in one end. Thank you all in advance. [IMG]

    It’s a tiny butt plug.

    You’re welcome.

First thought is check your mag releases. Then safeties on long guns. If not that I have no idea.

Couldn’t sleep wondering which gun I had wouldn’t go bang so opened my safe and thought about it some more. I had already looked over every gun I had. Figured it out, it’s the plunger part(detent) of a quick detach sling point. I can sleep now. Thanks for the comments.

Quick release button from a sling would be my guess.
