Just a heads up Palmetto state armory has their hammer forged mid length light weight profile and standard profile uppers on sale for 349 without a BCG. They are normally 400 without the BCG I believe. They also have some nice deals on handguns as well.

I tell you what, these HF uppers from Palmetto are an amazing value, if you ask me. I just got done putting together a Spike's lower to mount my PSA HF Dissy on. What a setup- I am gonna shoot it tomorrow if it'll quit raining here.....

Picked this one up last week. Doesn't hurt when you live 3 miles from PSA's store. :tongueout:

I agree, Im actually a little surprised PSA is still considered "entry level" whatever that means.

That's awesome. So they have a store front? You can just walk in and say I want that upper?

Yep. They actually have two stores here in Columbia. One one each side of town.

Im thinking more like 200 more with a bolt carrier group for hammer forged.

I have one upper from PSA and one from BCM, I really do not see any difference so far :dunno: Both are quality uppers IMO :wavey:

Weird, I sold my PSA dissy for more than I bought it for.

BCM makes great stuff, no doubt. 349 for a hammer forged PSA upper is a pretty solid deal.

You linked an M4 carbine upper. He wanted a Mid Length Upper. Apples to Apples you know.

This is the Mid Length BCM and after he bought the handguards and BCG, it would be at least $200.00 more.

So if I bought one of these, what more would I need for a complete gun? Sorry, just a semi-newbie to putting these together,

    thanks

A bolt carrier group (PSA usually has an option to add one) and an iron site or optic. You would also need a completed lower to pin it on.

Breakdown for us how the BCM is so much better quality..............

    Can't huh :tongueout:.

Honestly either is a high quality AR upper, I really would love to hear what would make the BCM upper so much superior to the PSA.

The only thing you need that you can not buy and have shipped directly to your house would be the AR lower receiver. Everything else you can. :)

You could buy one of these now and buy the other parts over time to build the rifle. The lower can be had at a local shop or gun show for between $250-$350 completely ready to use.
