It really depends on where you live and how your dealers are. In my area the best price on a no frills 17 is $489. But at the other dealers they range from $509-600. With night sites they are between $50-60 more.

I would say that you did not get a BAD deal, and if it is a good dealer then you are building a "relationship" as well. I tend to purchase all of my handguns from 1 dealer (the one that sells glocks at $489;f)and they know me by name so I get a little better treatment then joe shmo who comes in and tries to beat them up for a cheap deal.

Last weekend I attended a gun show in Houston and nib red label G17's with two standard capicity mags were going in the $450 range, plus tax. I bought a new G35 for $539 plus tax.

I got one for $399, just before Christmas at Galyans. I already had one so I gave it to my son for Christmas, he loves it, now he wants g18 mags for it.

You got a great/fantastic/wonderful deal. (after all you have already paid the money/got the gun right?)
There are deals out there. Some areas of country that would be great deal. For me nope.

You paid an appropriate amount of money for a person such as yourself.

As others have said, it depends on location.

$550 for a NIB Glock is the going rate around here. You're lucky if you can find one for less.
