What better way to celebrate the holiday - than by exercising my 2nd Amendment right to buy a new pistol!

I just happened to stop by the local Academy Sports - and what did I see in the case? A beautiful Sig P938 Extreme! It came with both a flush mag and+1 extended mag. The Piranha grips and Sig Lite night sights werea nice surprise as well!

There was no thought or deliberation required... My DL and CWL were produced from my wallet with lightning speed!

I plan to make this my "always" pocket pistol that will replace a DB9 in the right front pocket. Hopefully, I can get to the range later this week to try it out.

Congratulations! I also bought one 2 weeks ago. Same extreme model.

It will start as a heavy trigger pull and as you shoot more rounds or dry fire with snap cap or placing a rubber ear plug between the hammer and pin, the trigger starts to lighten a bit.

I also sanded the trigger surface bec. It irritates my finger after 100 rounds. Now, it has a smoother surface.

Just picked up mine this week (Nightmare model) and love it...fits anywhere, shoots accurately...I'm pretty impressed, and I don't like many Sig (American) models.

I picked one (extreme) up last Friday.I did have some doubt after a few reviews I seen, but I wanted and took the chance anyway.I've only shot 3 mags so for but I really like it so for.Anyone know of a good mag loader? The last few are tight!

I want one! I haven't seen one in person unfortunately. How does it compare size-wise to the P238?

Is it me or the sight? I hit the bullseye at 7 yards at 6 O'clock hold. If I pointed the sight about 6 inches below the bullseye, I hit it dead center. Same thing with my Glock 39.

They are alittle bigger.Their web site says only longer, which looks to me to be mostly in the grip and chamber, but the slide does look alittle wider to me.The 238 does fit in your pocket better but 938 does fit in my pockets.

There are some subtle dimension differences. Here is a post I did on another forum. http://www.24hourcampfire.com/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php/ubb/showflat/Number/6567661

Since the last malfunction discussed, I have run another 250 rounds through it, about 50/50 124 gr. Gold Dots and Blazers, with no trouble, except that it prefers to feed Gold Dots from slide lock by retracting the slide and letting it go than by hitting the slide release. In a couple of instances where it has hung up using the slide release, pulling the slide back and releasing it has fed the round.

Good write up and size compare.
