I seen your response on +p in short barrel 9mm and was wondering if you hold to that with +p .45 in short barrels?

These days, I go with 230 grain standard pressure JHP in short .45s. No quarrel though with those who've found that +P 185 grain from a 3.5" barrel runs hotter than standard pressure 185 JHP from a 5". A lot of it goes to shooting characteristics and control in the hands of the individual user.

    I have 230grn HST that I carry, and 230grn HST +p in stock. I also have GD 200grn +p.
I probably should have stated the short barrel I am referring to is a 30sf which is a bit different with other short barrel .45s.

It's subjective to the shooter. Run yourself on some timed drills with each load. If you're getting the same hit potential with the +P, it's logical to go in that direction.
