Thought I would try carrying my G29 on the outside. Are there any recommended holsters for people that carry OWB?

    Thank you,

I've had good luck with Fobus roto-padddle holsters. They are cheap and work perfect. Fobus is used by the Israeli special forces and you can find them at Amazon or Optics planet and many others. Good luck!

Ditto on the Fobus paddle. I like mine a lot.

Try Andrews Custom Leather out of Florida. Ha makes some really good holsters.

I have a Galco concealment for my g20 sf. Just got it..
    Very Comfortable.
I also have the glock sport holster. Not heavy enough for everyday bang around but will work well in a pinch

I like my Blackhawk! SERPA. Mine is actually for my G21SF, but my G29 fits (though a tad tight, the G29's frame is the tiniest bit wider). If you're looking for something you can conceal under a jacket or something, it may not be ideal, but if you will open-carry, it's perfect. It comes with a belt attachment, and a very secure type of paddle. It's adjustable for cant, has retention, and is very smooth on draw and reholstering.

Comp-Tac Paddle, I have a bunch of 'em now.

Or, a nice Alessi CQC-S, only have a couple of those.

I chose this holster after looking and trying on various other brands. I dig the auto lock and how close my 29 sits close to my body. I am anxious to see if I can get adjusted to the paddle platform, if not, then I will just stick with the belt platform. Overall it seems like a nice. sturdy, and well-built (non-leather) holster.

    Thanks for all your suggestions.

Cabela's in Springfield Oregon gave me a FREE Glock Sport/Combat holster for my 29/30/21 last week. It's an ugly little bugger, but it sure carries my 29SF in tight.

I used it all week up there carrying my 21 and 30 and it was great. The price was right and I needed something new. My Fobus for the 30 is wearing out. Won't provide solid "snap" retention any longer. More like a "thunk". Time to S-can it. Not a big believer in Fobus equipment anyway. Saw an instructor once kick one out of a student's waistband as a demo of the LACK of retention. Unloaded pistol and Fobus went airborne and suddenly it was all hand to hand. No bueno, Amigos.

When in the woods, ATV riding I use this...UGT good security and protection for the gun and extra magazine. This is not a fast draw type holster!

I just bought the Glock sport holster for my g20,21 and 29. What a great holster! Rides high, and comfortable and is softer than I thought it would be. For $12 at cheaper than dirt this is a buy. Wish I would have done this long ago and saved a bunch of money on owb holsters.
