Is it me, or what? I've seen a few threads in GT about: "My dog sleeps outside..." or "What can I use to heat my dog house?" This pisses me off. Why get an animal, then make it sleep outside? Yeah, yeah, yeah, I've heard all the BS: "he's a herding, hunting, sled, etc. dog". AND... to add to this... the fact that dogs are pack animals, and the instinct amongst canines to "den" with their pack is the primary bonding ritual... and the fact that 'outside dogs' are much more likely to become aggressive, etc. How out of touch are these people? Why don't THEY get it? Are they the stereotypical "backwoods" morons? What's the story? There is NO reasonable reason that a responsible person would make a domesticated dog sleep outside. Hence the term: DOMESTIC (roughly meaning HOME) vs. WILD (not domesticated).
