It was cold and snowy there today. Shot my Pre charged air rifle, and some rounds from my 1911. Not too many cause I could only find about 1/2 of the .45 empties in the snow.

Nice little range. I reserve this sort of weather for revolver shooting.

Few things remind you that you are indeed alive than firing a .44 Magnum revolver with no gloves when it's 20F outside.

Seriously, it didn't seem like that bad of an idea on the way there ... in the warm car.

You can run 30 rounds through an AR-15 and it will cool quickly, especially if it is 10 or lower. I use a tarp to try to catch brass but it is problematic with a 1911, My Glocks and Sigs put them into a neat little pile, not so my 1911. The ARs are so consistent an assistant can catch all brass in a not too large box. All that said, I shoot revolvers more this time of yer, esp in snow.

It is a nice range. I am a member of the club and the dues are less then
$100 per year. It has 2 other bays on either side of the one in the picture, and about 6 others that are about 15 yards long. There is a 200 yard rifle range on the opposite end of the property, and in the middle trap houses.
This club even has a range for sub machine gun use. Best of all, no range officers or other "authorities". We are all on our own behavior.

    Sir,

I hated you ENOUGH before all of this additional wound dressing with salt n vinegar.

200 yard rifle range? Sub gun range? What is a subgun? I've only seen those on TV... :crying:
