Hey guys, can anyone recommend a cheap but reliable PDA or cellphone/PDA combo? If its just a PDA, around the 5-6k price range would be good. I can go higher if its a cellphone/PDA combo. Thanks. :)

I never liked PDAs. Im a techie guy but im not in to techie gadgets. But since I will soon be working for a new company that develops applications for mobile and handheld devices and service providers, I might as well have one.

Treo 650 Communicator. Palm software is more user-friendly for personal use than Microsoft software (the O2XDA.) About P35,000.

Or wait for the 700 to come here.

I don't need a full blown PDA as of now, just something to keep track of things to do, some notes, maybe (not necessary) capable of playing mp3s. I don't like the calendar/reminder option on cellphones since I hate typing long stuff using the cellphone keypad. I used to have the palm m100 but the batteries leaked and corroded the insides. I'm looking at the palm Z22 or tungsten E. Do I have other options? Thanks. :)

Your requirements though tells you to get one, Treo 650 is the best. But since your not a fan of qwerty key pads, baka mainis ka lang sa treo.

If your considering a plam tungsten, sooner or later you'd want a better one (parang baril yan, you just cant get enough), so go for the treo 650 (or if you prefer a windows base os, try the treo 700). After market support of palm is GREAT! Try browsing at mapalad.org to give you a bigger picture of what you really need...

    Good luck!

Z22 and Tungsten E are crap, I had a bunch of those and they were all crap.

My current PDA is the TUngsten T3. Since you shoot guns you probably want a metal pda so T3 it is. The only con is it doesn't have wifi but you don't seem to need that. It plays mp3s and full length divx movies at 480x320 resolution. If you hate typing SMS you phone keypad pair it with your bluetooth phone and write SMS using grafitti, much much faster...
