    10 year update.

My old Glock 30 is still amazingly accurate, concealable (no problems at all), recoil-confortable (compared to my LC9 and LCR), and reliable to a fault, with zero "upgrades".

I can recommend this "tool" to any new, up and coming CHP, CCW, etc permit holder! The G30 is, in my opinion, the gold standard for a concealed carry option.

"Upgraded" my 30SF with Talon Grips (sandpaper kind), XS Big Dot sights and Pearce grip extension.

10 rounds of 230 grain one shot stopping with #11 in the pipe.

It's a Glock. Does it get any better??

Just came back from the range.

Regular piece of typewriter paper, with an X on it, showed a dead-center softball sized hole after 30 rounds at 3-5-and 7 yards. Rapid fire. G30 is 10 years old. Nuff said. (Samson 230 gr. FMJ). I might of squeezed it down to a MLB hard ball hole with better ammo. But what's the point?

I have to agree. My favorite and most accurate Glock is the 30. I remember not long after joining this site, and reading about the G30, I had to have one. Still going strong, and still a favorite.

Finally found the right club, this seems like a good place for my G30, anyone can tell me of mods other then sights, and removal of the finger thinges? And anyone think the G41 worth trying to use as edc gun, my G30 is part of my life, carry with a 10rnd mag and a G21 mag as secondary re-load if it had to come to that. Like many LEO's that long gun just a little out of reach when shtf.

I happened to be in Atlanta last month with an afternoon free and decided to take my G30 by Glock for a checkup. Every one there was wonderful and they checked the G30 out and updated everything except the frame, slide and barrel.
I was running short on time and didn't check it out until I got back to Ms.
They replaced the adjustable sights with fixed. No problem
They replaced the smooth trigger with a grooved one
and replace the extractor with the new style.
After I got out and shot it I really prefer the smooth trigger and now I get brass hitting my hat.
I will shoot it more to see about the brass and I guess order me another smooth trigger.
I enjoyed my visit but next time will allow more time.

Used to carry my G30 as my duty gun for years. Mgmt changed and dictated 357Sig for all. Well ive retired and ill keep my G33 as a bug, but ive rediscovered my G30. Was and stll is a great gun. Even upgraded to a sweet iwb kydek holster. Had my G30 for maybe 15 years now. Life is good.

Mine has been sitting for a while, but with the cooler weather around the corner it will get some carry time soon.
I've had it for 9 years, it's never missed a beat.
Plan on keeping it till I croak.
