Assault style, semi auto rifle / pistols with a capacity more than 10 rounds and the usual suspects.

Not clear is if requires turning guns in or applies to new gun sales and grandfathers the rest.

The above link can lo longer be reached.

The proposal would ban "assault" rifles which it generally defines as semi-autos with detachable magazines, but goes farther to also include magazines with capacities higher than 10 rounds. It would also ban certain kinds of shotguns and applies to semi-auto pistols as well. The above link can lo longer be reached. Upon passage it would give those currently legally owning currently legal firearms and magazines banned by the measure 120 days to sell them out of state via an FFL, turn them over to law enforcement for destruction, or register them with the Oregon State Police. The proposal also requires (additional?) background checks to keep the firearms and magazines already legally obtained.

The link below tells a little about some of those behind the measure, but leaves out many key facts. Of course the media these days rarely reports the whole story.
