How do I go about ordering a Glock? Do I go to the Gun shop and give them the Item #? Because I was thinking about ordering on off of Impact Gun because Glocks are at $500, the cheapest around. Help would be appreciated, this will be my first handgun purchase.

    Thanks.

You need to find a FFL dealer that can recieve the gun for you, most charge anywhere between $30-50 per a transferthese days. That still may give you a bit of a break from buying from your localdealer.
Being yourfirst purchase though you may want to consider shelling the extra cash to build a repore with the local guy.

If you order over the internet or from a dealer out of state you will also have to pay shipping charges and have it shipped to a FFL who usually will charge you a fee to accept the pistol. Try looking around at your local gun shops for the best deal. Tell them the model of Glock you want like Glock 19 or glock 26 etc.. They may be able to order you a Glock if you want certain features like night sights or they may be able to install the night sites for you .

Most of my local gun shops are too expensive and too small, I've been to 4 of them, the cheapest Glock was $570. That's outragous... I'm sorry, but I really don't want to deal with an FFL dealer that rips people off. I'll neesd to find a good shop around when I find time some day.

Shell out the $35 for a GSSF membership and get a certificate that allows you to purchase one brand new for the same prices that Law Enforcement pays.

If you think you might want to try some competitive shooting with your Glock, then join GSSF and save some bucks off of your pistol.

How much is a Glock sold at LE Price? Because if its $450 and Under, I'll definitely join the GSSF for 3 years.

Look for a FFL holder in your area who will do transfers. Find the best deal on the internet and go for it.

Are you friggen serious? Wow, I'm joining the GSSF. So you can walk into a Gun Shop, look at the Glocks and say I like the Glock 22 RTF, I can buy it for $398.20+Background+Tax?

What do I need from the GSSF? A certificate?

You can google "GSSF" it will give you all the info you need. The membership process may take a month. Or you can do as I did and find a participating dealer in the program, sign up with them and they will honor your purchase of 1 new gun per year.

You don't trust an FFL dealer? I am an individual with my FFL and charge $15 to handle transfers. Sorry if you think I am ripping people off, I feel like I am an honest one and will point the customer in the right direction if I can save them a buck or twom. $440 is dealer price for me and you can find em for $475 at summitgunbroker NIB

Not all FFls charge $15 for transfers.

The highs in my area are $45 and the lows are $30.

Its actually what turned me on to a C&R.

How do I find out if a FFL dealer is a participating dealer w/ GSSF?

You said $440 is your price? Thats great! I was only applying that to my local Gun shops, I mean... $570? Now thats all high for my taste, I can deal with someone else...

The GSSF deal might not pay off in the end. For me after you add in shipping, ffl fees, tax, dros and what ever else I forgot the gun is about the same as my local dealer. Also, check the GSSF dealer list because the closest dealer to me is over 300 miles away. Just my two cents.

go to the GLock Shooting Sports Foundation web site, on the front page they tell how members can purchase a discounted Glock then click on" more info ", there is a list of dealers in PA, maybe its one of those $570 guys .
