My local range finally got a Glock 48 to rent. I had been wanting to try one for months.

I shot it, and fell in love. Heck, I put the 1st three shots thru the same hole. I went into the store afterwards to get one, but they did not have one with the Ameriglo night sights. So, they ordered me one. I hope to have it in a week or so. I qualify for the blue label Glocks too, so I am saving some $.

I have smaller hands, and I really like the way the 48 feels.

I ended up selling my Hk P2000sk to cover the cost. I normally carry the fullsize P2000 anyway, so the sk had basically just been sitting in my safe for years. If I like this G48 enough, it may become get into my carry rotation :)

I like my G48 too. Nice shooter. Trigger gets better with use. Ejection of spent brass is reliable and well to the 3:00 position (no BTF). Nice weight. Slim grip. Easy to carry. I like it.

I put Talon Grip tape on mine it’s my nightstand gun. Instead of upgrading the sights I simply reversed the rear sight.

No, 7 yards. But, that was still very impressive, considering I have never shot the gun before.

I am mostly a DA/SA gun guy. So, I was impressed.

Not really a 9mm fan much, but I bought three lately. 43X-48 Black slide, and the 48 Silver slide with night sights... I like the 48 best, but it and the x both shoot great. Hope they do this in a .40 or 10mm. HA. For all you 'fanboys,' Shield arms is working on a 10 round mag for the 43...
I got some 15 rounders for the X and 48. Real nice...! Made it worth getting a 9mm. ;)

The 48 is awesome. I didn’t think I could ever shoot a slim gun well since I struggled with single stacks in the past, but this shoots just about as well as my G45 for me.

That said, I unfortunately did not shoot a 43X yet...

Yes, some single stacks are TOO thin. The Shield is about like that. And, that is also why I did not like the XDe. The G48 is just right in the hand

I love my G 48. It goes with me everywhere except when I’m at work (not allowed).
