I was just wondering if any of you all shoot with a red dot optic (whether reflex or tube) on your 1911 or any pistol for that matter? I'm slightly intrigued by them, since sometimes with my cross dominance and astigmatism in my eyes, makes it hard to focus on aligning the sights and focusing. I know red dots and astigmatisms don't mix, usually making the dot not as sharp, but I have a few aimpoints (M3, C3, t1, and h1) along with my sig red dot optic and have no issues seeing the dot. And it's good for FAST target acquisition once you get used to it. So anyone use one? They have a few options I was looking at, trijicon RMR, burris fast fire II, and the primary arms red dot (wide range, primary arms would only be for a 22lr, but the RMR would go nicely with a nice threaded and suppressed 1911). What's your thoughts? Any downsides? What would you be interested in?
