I've been a Glock owner for years, but lately I've been looking at the Sprinfield XD pistols.

    Any opinions good or bad?

I thought it would be appropriate to run this past other Glock owners like me.

Subjectively I don't like the feel or balance. Objectively the three I have fired have been reliable and accurate so if you like the design and feel you might as well get one.

I have an XD 45 service model and an XDM 40. I like my glock 21sf and 30 sf better then the XD. The XDM is a great gun for home protection.

I like them. I like the larger GLOCK better than full size XDs, however.

When it comes to baby GLOCKs, I prefer the sub-compact XD over them.

    I am wanting an XDM.

I have a XDM in 9mm. I love it. Shoots great. However, I'm contemplating selling it since it is a little too large for concealed carry. Prefer my G19 & G26.

Good guns, I only wish the grip safety was an optional feature.

I have shot one, and it seemed nice. Felt good in my hand. The new 3.8 is butt-ugly. The proportions are terrible, they got it backwards.

I had a XDm-40, it broke twice in under 5,000 rounds and had to go back to SA each time. Also had a XD-40 and it would lock the slide back with rounds in the chamber. I believe it is the 40 S&W round that most brands have trouble with.

I own an XD .45 Tac....great firearm, accurate as Hell....tack-driver right from the box.....

I don't like the finish, but this is a tough, reliable, full size pistol....trigger takes some getting used to, so does a Glock, ...

The mags are stainless steel, and are excellent....the box kit is a good deal, extra mag ( two) holster....mag loader....belt mag holder...

Have not had a problem at all in thousands of fired rounds....

"......it took him minutes...took her nowhere...heaven knows she'ld have taken anything....."........... I am OuT...

Currently my two main carry guns (outside of work) are a SIG 229 SCT 9mm and a XD .45 w/thumb safety.

Both take turns in my holster. Love them both.

My first gun was an XDm-9. never had a problem with it. Wanted to jump to sumthin bigger so I switched to an XDm-40. Had nothing but problems with it. FTF's all over the place. Had everything done to it to try and fix the problem. Polished breech face, change mags, broke gun in, changed some springs, had other ppl shoot it, etc. Still didn't fix it. Definitely not a reliable carry gun in my experience. I dunno maybe i got a lemon. I got one of the first batches that came out with the NRA stamp on the slide. Overall the XDm looks pretty good though. I like the look better than the glock. But it just didn't work for me.

I like the xd pistols a bunch. Have shot the heck out of them. They are accurate, and reliable. Fit my hand like a glove too.
