I was thinking of upgrading to these sights

I figured that the orange rear might save a milasecond or 2 if I needed to gun use the gun in a hurry, no hesitation as to which of the green were front and rear as the gun comes up quick or similar.

I can't find them on the Meprolight site. Are they old discontinued models or very new models ?

    Their standard night sights here
seem much brighter but I assume that's just photo play for the ads.

Are the day/night ones as bright as the plain night ones ? Do the white outlines really help in the daytime ? i read a few reviews where they said the front sight went out within a few months of purchase, anyone have this happen to them ? They shouldn't be any trouble for a gunsmith to install them should they ?

Any experiences would be most welcome. Thanks

I like just green and green meprolights I have them on three different guns. The thing I like about them is the white outline and the vial is all sealed up other brands have like a white paint around a sealed vial. I heard from someone the orange vials lose there brightness quicker than the all green night sights. You wrote TruGlo in title which is another brand all together that uses fiber optic and fiber optic with tritium inside. I like them as well seem to have a bigger dot than mepro but have heard of some of the fiber optic vial flying off when shooting. Ameriglo makes a cool new sight my night guy just showed me a week ago. The front sight has a red special paint around front sight that glowed when a black light was shined at it. The rear sight was a henie type rear sight with just a dot in the middle of sight. Hopes this helps you out.

I have Mepro adjustable all green on my G20. The white circles around the tritium dots show up really well in daylight and in rooms with indoor lighting. A very good all around sight.

I have Tru Glo TFO green front/back on my M&P9. Excellent day and night, a little brighter and easier to see in bright sunlight than Mepro. With hindsight, I think I would have preferred yellow rear, green front to give greater emphasis on the front sight.
