    Well, this past Saturday morning treated me pretty good! ;-)

    Here's what ran into a 1oz 12-gauge slug at about 7:30am! ^c

    Whitetail Stats:

    Sex = Buck (male)
    Weight = Unknown
    Points = 7
    Spread = Unknown
    Location = Behind My House
    Weapon = Beretta 390 12-gauge W/Hasting Slug Barrel
    Ammo = Federal's 1oz Barn's Expander 3" Sabot-Slug

    (He's no monster buck, but those don't taste as good anyways. ;))

    Sure did... that deer filled my last "buck tag"... we're only allowed 2 (1 of those is a "restricted tag" however, but actually both of my bucks qualified for that.) here in MI... there is no limit for doe tags however, if you can get'em, you can fill'em!

    Great buck!

    Between Saturday and Sunday I saw five doe wandering by, however no bucks. :( I'll be out again this weekend.

    Regards,
    Glen

    I saw three bucks opening weekend and only one mature doe, go figure. I shot a 2 1/2 year old(aged by the DNR) 6 point. Weighed 104 pounds field dressed. Shot him on my property near Moorestown, in Missaukee county.

    Thanks 45acp4me… I hope the season treats you well. Still a lot of hunting left!

    Sounds like a nice buck RJ Schuknecht, congratulations! Pictures? :) Planning to get another?

    I’ve decided to fill one more doe tag this year… I’m thinking about waiting till muzzleloading season (going to use .64 caliber flintlock) however… may even save it for late bow… hmmm.

    I don`t have either a digital camera or a scanner, so no pictures. I got the meat back from the processor yesterday, got 45lbs of tasty venison. Got the card in the mail from the DNR today, no TB. I gave them the head for testing when I had it aged.

    I will most likely not shoot another buck, unless it was something special. But, I have antlerless permits and would like to get a couple does yet. I`ll be back out this weekend plus muzzleloader.
