Hunted the late shift(afternoon)north of Katy and saw hardly any dove.
3 shots-2 birds. Real dissapointed. How did y'all do? Anybody have a bang-bang day, or did that little cool front screw the pooch?

11 birds by three hunters over 3 hours of hunting, pretty poor and didn't see many birds. Esox357

Went out Friday with my son (4yrs next month) for his first hunt. He brought his little wooden gun along and had an absolute blast. We ended up with 7 doves. Not bad, but glad my son had a good time.

Well, looks like we're not the only ones!

You boy's 'don't' want to come to our part of W.Texas for doves!

I guided two hunters saturday out here on the ranch, and they got 5 birds. I must admit, they did miss a few, but the point is... They are not flying much.

There are so many water holes, (which we are pleased with for other reasons), that even hunting over the tank, (which is a pond in Texas), they are getting their water in to many other places, plus, it was just plain lousy.

We went into town to get a bite at noon, and that was the story with everyone in the cafe. No birds!

Perhaps the 'yankee birds' will show up down here soon! :)
