Hanging out in downtown grants pass, Oregon. First Friday art night. Tons of people downtown giving me funny looks and asking questions as I exercise my right to open carry. I love Oregon.

I live in a state that has an open carry law. We also have a huge population of people with CCW permits that have no clue how to actually use their firearm because the training involved in getting the CCW is only knowledge regarding the laws of carry and use not actual physical function of said weapon.

Carrying openly on a night where there are lots of people out and about gives me a chance to talk and discuss freedoms, rights, knowledge, instruction, safety, etc.

If you don't exercise your rites, the government likes to take them away.

The police working downtown noticed me and did not give it a second thought and continued on as the should.

For that reason alone I would CCW! The art walk here in Bend is a chance to hang out downtown and drink some good wine.
Flipper,

Personal preferance. I like to hang out, check out art, smoke a good cigar, talk to people, and open carry...

Belive me I dont need to carry to feel safe or anything like that, it is a rite and I choose to exercise it.

Open carry sounds like a rite more and more.

Way to exercise your 2A rights, but I still like to "hide in plain sight." To each his own.
