Canada is barely a foreign country. I remember going there when the exchange rate was nearly equal. We were using US and CAN dollars interchangebly. We never actually made a point of pulling CAN dollars. We got them as change. MEX is even more like the US.
Or Saudi Arabia.
26 Canadians were killed on 9/11. Another 150+ Canadian Soldiers have died serving alongside us in Iraq and Afghanistan.
I don't mind a little Canadian steel in the new WTC.
Lets not forget that it was the Canadian Ambassador and his staff that sheltered and helped smuggle out American personnel during the Embassy take over in Iran
Who cares? The whole ugly monstrosity is nothing but a monument to Al Qaeda anyway. America says: "You tear it down, we'll wait for over a decade rebuilding a half-assed version of it."
