Sigh. The 220... have a terrible weakness for the 220s. Last one I picked up was even modified for left-handed mag release, and I am right-handed! (Need to swap that release back sometime).

Sig Made some very nice guns back in the day. Their quality isn’t what it once was.

it’s all depends on which SIG entity you’re talking about. SIG Swiss still turns out fine Firearms.

    Very nice pistol.

I have a 220 mfd in 1991 (KB), but also a folded slide vs the newer machined models. I seem to recall that you need to remove that roll pin on the slide as part of the detail strip. I did one during a Sig Armorers class years ago, but it was worn and easy to punch out. Most of them, not so much.

Another nice pistol for your collection. Jealous (again). :)

Very nice indeed. As the owner of six Sigs (228, 230sl,226, X5,220, 365) I salute.

It has that German, super-functiional, no frills added look that I like. In a way it reminds me of my motorcycle, a BMW R75/5.

Since the thread got resurrected recently, I want to add that I have a SIG Sauer P220 that is older than BAC's. It is in the 500 serial range but like BAC's also with the HG proof stamp.

Yours was a recent import. Mine was imported by Hawes which was the first importer of Sig pistols.

Yours was still imported by Hawes, who had previously imported already the Sauer & Sohn line of S/A & D/A revolvers.
