I bought some Omaha steaks several years ago in the airport in Omaha and was disappointed. They are nothing special, maybe I got a bad batch, but I have never ordered any more. They are not bad, just nothing special, considering the price.

yep i have to agree, at least with the burgers. i thought they would be grade A stuff but when i went to cook em up they shrank down like the usual frozen burgers that you'd find on the freezer isle. in fact i really couldn't see a difference.

I received a box of filet mignon and rib eye steaks at Christmas and while they were good I have to agree with K.C. Dia "they were nothing special" I can get the same cut at a butcher shop ... a lot cheaper!

Usually you will get a better cut.

Omaha steaks are crap. I received a box a few years ago. We ate two or three and threw the rest out. They aren't much better quality than the ones sold by those door-to-door guys with the freezer truck.

Omaha steaks is old dairy cows that are sold off, the meat is heavily treated to "tenderize" it.

The name "Omaha Steaks" is nothing more than a good name to market. We have some great beef here in Nebraska, but it does not come from Omaha steaks.
