All: Just wanted to share the wealth.

I've now shot >1500 rds of the Olympic 9mm from Sportsman's Guide with no complaints.

    Here is the ammo.

When ordering, enter in coupon code SPG15. I bought 2 cases and paid $198 including shipping.

Makes it about $1/box cheaper (for me anyway) than the white box from walmart.

    MrMunster,

Thanks for the coupon code. I shot 1000 rounds of 9mm ammo yesterday with a friend and needed some cheap ammo. I ordered 2 cases of Olympic 9mm.

Go to www.sportsmansguide.com and do a keyword search on "9mm". The first link that pops up (for me) is the Olympic.

FWIW, I'm pretty sure it is still in stock because I ordered 4 cases this morning. I'll edit this post if they cancel my order.

Have had no real problems with the Olympic ammo, except for the following:

The manufacturer appears to utilize some sort of ferrous material in the bullet. This is a no-no in some of the indoor ranges out this way. It's strange, in that some of the bullets appear to have ferrous material, while others in the same box don't.

Other than that, it goes "bang" when I pull the trigger!!

    Owl,
What do you mean by ferrous material?

    MrMunster,

Magnetic. There is iron or an iron composite in some of the bullets.

Use a magnet on the Olympic ammo. You'll see what I mean.

Ordered 4 cases on Monday 6/17 and they arrived this morning (6/21 @ 11am) via FedEx ground.

(Total cost from invoice was $380.87! Or $0.095/rd.)

    Owl--

I spot checked rounds from each of the cases and none appeared to contain any ferrous material.

9.5 cents a round isn't bad at all.

Hello bargain hunters. I was replying to the Olympic ammo special. How much was the SPG15 coupon worth? It expired on 6/30. Do the prices include shipping? Are you a member of the "club"? Please advise. I'm thinking of buying some for a group of us at work. The web site claims 1200fps for a 124 grain bullet. Is that realistic? That has recoil written all over it!

    Thanks, Ed
