    Hello,

I went to check out the new Cabelas that opened yesterday here in charleston WV and to buy some ammo. Well ended up buying another glock. Stumbled upon a 1990 model G19 with very minimal wear and talked him down to $280. I figured I can't go wrong at that price? Unfortunately Charleston is the only city in the state that requires a 3 day waiting period on handguns so I can't pick it up until Tuesday which sucks. In the meantime, is there anything I should look for on it when I get it? Any problems or recalls with this year? I looked it over pretty good and didn't see anything wrong. Just wondering about my purchase I guess since I can't play with it yet.

    Thanks!

Awesome deal! Take it to a glock dealer that has an armorer (or GSSF shoot) and have the gun looked at/upgraded for free.

Great price on that pistol. Just replace anything worn out and you'll be GTG.

Great deal.....Have a gunsmith check it out.....Also, quite awhile ago there was G19 recall (Glock called it an upgrade) which required, I believe, 3 parts to be replaced on the G19. Glock will replace these parts free of charge and do the upgrade. I had a G19 that had this done by Glock.....Wish I had the precise info for you. You can Goggle it and find it on the internet. Try Glock 19 recall or Glock 19 upgrade. Check your gun out and see if you need the upgrade......Not trying to spook you, just want to pass this info to you.

    Great price.

Yes you want to check if it has the 6 part 'upgrade.'

    http://www.thegunzone.com/glock/upgrade-faq.html

You can call Glock and give them the serial and find out. My only reservation would be that the extractor is one of the parts that gets replaced during the upgrade. I would keep the one it came with, but I'm just loco.

Thanks for the info. I will definitely look up the recall. And sorry no pics yet I still haven't been able to pick it up. Hopefully Tuesday. Can't wait to try it out. I've never tried talon grips because my other glocks are gen 3 and felt like I had a pretty good grip already but they may be in order for this gen 2 after I try it out and see what I think

Heck of a deal, you should have no problems with it.
