Wanting a two blade model for a gift.

Don't know much about these type of knives. $50 to $100.

I bought my father a Case a few years back for an everyday carry and he loves his. His isn't a two blade model, but this looks like something you're looking for.

My dad's EDC, I inherited. It's old school 440C steel, and I've been carrying daily, and find it very handy on the job. It's a buck 703. 15822426741941675730895943085364.jpg

Case XX - Model/Color of your choice. I think I would do a 3 Blade, but that's just me.

Another vote for a Case knife. I occasionally carry a Case Trapper myself.

I carried a knife similar to those for years. My grandmother gave me my first knife when I was eight years old. It wasn’t till I was in the seventh grade that a teacher saw me with my knife and took it away and sent me to the principals office to retrieve it.

We had a short discussion, he told me to leave it at home, rolled his eyes at the teacher and gave it back to me.

In that price range I'd go with a Case Canoe. I've got three or four and I feel they are the best design in the Case lineup.

That is a "trapper" design. Very useful pocket knife, I have a couple of them and like them a lot. Thing is, I carried pocket clip knives at work for many years and can't seem to break away from that design in retirement. A trapper does reside in a pocket of my turkey hunting vest though.

Depending on how much you want to spend:
    • Old Timer
    • Buck
    • Case
    All will last a lifetime.

Dad always seemed to have a Schrade smaller stockman, that is what I started with many years ago. So, it is what always comes to mind
The harder core knife guys are always Case.

I have been branching out into Buck in my latest acquisitions. Kind of had a Buck 110 thing going for a while. Starting to think Case now.
Everything I buy, are older ones, before offshoring.

It's the style you have shown in a classic brand.

Two blades limit your choice a bit. These three are small. Good to carry in dress slacks, light weight shorts, etc.

After losing two very nice knives (one lost, one taken at the airport) I don't carry any knife I would miss...it was getting expensive...nowadays I just carry a cheap little plastic $3 folding razor-blade knife from WalMart now. Does the job.

Hardware/Paint area. Sheffield 1282 folding utility knife. I had a heavier one with an aluminum handle, but this cheapy plastic model is holding up just fine, ..and it's so light you forget it's there.
