Old guys - is this normal or do I have a brain tumor?

I painted the spare bathroom - it was hard work - had to move a big mirror - take the toilet tank off - take the doors off the shower bla bla bla -

I was about to get in the shower and I caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror --

I had a bruise on my chest about the size of a golf ball - mostly black and yellow -

I had no idea I had hurt myself -

    ---

Few weeks ago I changed the oil in the RDX -- I have done it enough times so it is pretty easy -

After I am done I decide to have another cup of coffee before I take a shower - wife says I am bleeding - scrap on my back right at the collar of my T-shirt - bleed enough that I just threw away the shirt -

I had no idea that I had hurt myself -

    ---
An hour ago I did a really small project - removed a fresh air vent that was cracked - and replaced it - took like 3 minutes -

I come in and get a glass of ice tea and notice blood dripping from my arm - a nice 2 inch gash (not bad enough for stitches but still found a couple drops of blood on the floor)

I had no idea I had hurt myself-

    WTH -

I am either turning into Superman where I feel no pain - or old men don't feel pain!

I am 62 - and am 100% sure if I would have suffered any of these injuries 10 years ago I would have at least felt it -

You are obviously doomed, and have little time left. Can I have your guns?

It’s not that old guys don’t feel pain were just used to it by now.

I'm a bleeder, I'm constantly cutting myself or getting bruised....my docs say I'm fine, I'm just susceptible to getting cut or bruising. My oldest brother is the same way...

I'm sitting here right now with a big ol' bruise on my left arm that I have no idea how I got.

When people ask about my bruises or cuts, I blame the radiation from my missile days...it's a sexier story than, "I suffer from general decrepitude..."

I'm 50-just started wearing gloves while doing any little chore or job. Skin's thin...What used to be a little red spot now bruises or bleeds. Sux getting seasoned...

I dunno about the tumor; you’d likely be having balance problems, plus dizziness and double vision.

You’re exerting yourself more as you age, and just don’t notice small hurts as much.

    Also, you’re a klutz. :D

If this is a recent development, go see your doctor. If this is a long time thing, meh.

Of course you get hurt easier. You are basically starting to rot.

Been noticing it for a while -

How did I get this bruise?

It is just the last few cuts / bruises have been more severe - like I should have noticed a 2" gash in my arm - but did not.

I often find random bruises or cuts. I figured my wife was the cause and attacked me in my sleep. Sounds like you’re sleeping with my wife, you bastard!

My wife constantly points out purplish hematomas on my hands or forearms. I usually banged against something (desk drawer, etc.) earlier in the day and didn't pay it any heed. Same with scrapes that bleed, someone else (secretary usually) reacts in horror. Whatever it is it heals.
    You're not alone!
The worst are the burst capillaries in the eye. Looks like someone stuck a stick in it; I can't feel a thing. Dr. said as long as there is no pain, or vision problems, don't worry - so I don't.
Getting old is not for the faint of heart; it's very humbling.

I am 62. I thought I stumped my bed but apparently I broke my toe. Turned black for 24 hours and the toe nail came off. When the toe nail grew back it did not look human.

I wake up with various wounds and/or bruises and wonder what fight was I in. I am also pre-diabetic and my doctor believes it is all related. I also have a joint disease and the large joints sometimes is filled with fluid and especially looks hideous.

    Take care my friend.

Are you on blood thinners? They can cause thinning of the skin, easy bruising and lots of weird bleeding from injuries that would not normally bleed.
