My mother used to have a recipe for and Old Fashioned Hershey cake. Somehow, it was lost. I believe it was on a tin can that Hershey Cocoa came in?

I can remember making it a long time ago and mixing boiling water with the cocoa first and setting it aside. You also added buttermilk, I believe.

I have googled and found similiar recipes but I haven't been able to find the original one. Seeing the Oldest Recipe thread got me to wondering if any of you could possibly have it :)

Her birthday is today and I wish I had thought to ask this a few weeks ago. I would have loved to suprise her with a cake like she remembers!

    Anybody have any ideas?

Yeah, I remember that and I think you're right, that the recipe was on the can. Maybe you can find it on their website........just a thought.
