Too close to call, but Cruz came off strong and Trump came off honest but not as strong.

Yeah, I'm not sure I can ID a clear across-the-board winner, but for the folks who were paying attention, Trump should be the clear loser. I'm thinking he'll drop 5-10 points in the next few polls.

I don't think Bush or Walker hurt themselves, so I guess I'd say they are joint winners for not shooting themselves in the foot; going in, they had the most to lose.

I think Cruz and Rubio might get the biggest bump in the next polls, if you measure "winner" by that standard.

Christi handled & tossed back a grenade quite well, did surpringly well in 2 areas. Looks like his prep was on.

I would guess Rubio will be able to net the most of the bump that comes from the debate.

I think Huckabee looked really polished. I am a touch biased because I know him personally. Not "come to my house for dinner next week" personally but I have dinned in relative private with him twice. I don't agree with some of his religious right stances but the guy is genuine and capable.

I think Cruz has some charisma issues but his message and record are pretty good.

Politically I tend to like Rand, but he came off pretty angry tonight and I honestly think Christie got the best of him and I cant stand Christie, who was fairly polished tonight.

Bush looked like Bush. A seasoned politician.

Trump blundered and was very out of place.

    Walker was uneventful.

Rubio seemed like a career politician. I know some people thought he did great but there was something "off" about his performance for me. It seemed a touch stump speechish.

Kasich is a pretty likable guy.

Carson is also out of place but ended very well. I think he will get better.

Cruz, Cristie, Carson, Walker and Kasich left a favorable impression on me.

This whole debate format has become a joke. It's a Q&A session. A debate should be a framed argument

I don't know that anyone was a clear winner. They all did pretty well. Rand Paul is a bit quirky. Cruz came across as the most conservative. I've been a Walker fan for some time, and he did nothing to lose my support. Trump did well for someone who has no debate experience. I have never liked Bush or Christie, but I dislike them less now than I did before. Something tells me that it might be smart to have Kasich on the ticket because we won't win without Ohio. I wish I had seen the JV debate because I hear that Carly ripped it up.

How about we get one of them to be President, one as VP, and the rest as cabinet members. What an administration that would be! We wouldn't know how to act.

Only problem with this plan is all the vacated seats in the House, Senate, governerships, etc.

    I agree, I didn't like the format. I am not sure I have a better way to do a 10 person debate, but I wasn't a fan.

Fiorina was better than the 10, debate--wise. Rubio and Cruz did OK. Carson did well. Christie was OK.

Trump showed he is a lying ass who uses bribery to get what he wants. Huckabee wants to save the budget by taxing pimps and whores- he makes my skin crawl. Paul seemed terrible. Walker was hardly impressive. Kasich didn't make me want to vote for him. Bush put me to sleep.

Yep, a real debate has a timekeeper as moderator, not talking heads.
A real debate gives everyone the same questions, opportunities to cross-examine, and rebuttals. Judges score points.

Who won the debate is a different question from who wins the polls.
Trump may still win in the polls, but I'll bet he slipped a bit tonight.
Rubio did much better than I expected, so by that measure he won.

I still prefer Walker and Cruz, but they didn't win tonight.

Biggest loser was Rand Paul, and he wasn't happy about it.

I think Trump wil gain in the polls, especially with all pundits running him down. Kind of ironic that he is the everyman candidate. He showed back bone that this country has lacked for quite sometime, and we're like a starving person with a steak dinner with all the fixings set infront of us, we're eating it up.

I would support the Cruz and Walker ticket.

I am not sure there was a winner. I think Cruz is currently my leading candidate. Trump withered the further in he went. Walker is too small town politician for me. Paul came off too on the edge. Bush was slimy. The only thing I am 100% sure of at the moment is that I want Carson as Vice President! I like him more and more. He isnt ready to be president yet, though.

Thats the way I saw it, except I thought Walker fell short of expectations.

Trump was less than 'presidential', but he was outspoken as expected.

Don't care. So far none of them have done anything to invalidate my opinion of their stupidity.
