I cant blame you, I have the G22, G23 and the G27, and carry all three at differnt times, and love all of them. Have looked into getting a few of the other Glocks on the market myself. As for ammo, personally I usually carry 165gr Gold Dot rounds, both for carry and target shooting. Now that I have found few places to get them at decent prices, I dont feel as bad about target shooting with them.

Welcome to the wonderful world of Glocks! Nice to have ya here.

    I have only two suggestions:

1.) Get yourself a CCW if at all possible.

    2.) Get a G27 and a Sidearmor IWB.

    Stay safe. Have fun.

to answer your question about whether I think the 180gr is too slow, not really. I just personally like the 165gr rnds better. I, myself, do not go into the faster or slower or lighter or heavier is better, I shoot what I feel comfortable with, and for me that is a 165, or 155 gr rnd. I know people who love the 180gr and higher rnds, and I know people who wont touch them, and all are good shots with the rounds they use. So if you are asking me, get some of each, or any gr rnd you want to try, and shoot them, and decide which rnd you like best for yourself, and use that rnd. Just my two cents worth there.

Get the Glock 35, you'll love it. I clocked 180-grain WInchester SXTs out of mine at just over 1100 fps. Unless , of course, you plan on carrying it. Then get either the 27 or 23. I personally like the G27 more than the G23 (I also have both). According to my chronograph, the muzzle velocity between the two for 180-grain Winchester SXTs are pretty neglible (around 940 fps).

Welcome to the "Dark Side"!! ;F
