Officers went home. Nice job.
Yes, that's the most important thing.....Sounds like a suicide by cop incident.....
Officer went home? That's all I need to know.
Good to go!
Sounds like he fired first?
Yup sounds like suicide by cop...gotta suck having to live with that though. He did what he had to do(as would i think anyone) too bad it came to that though. guessing some kind of Dementia involved
".... that's when an officer fired a round" followed by "he was hit multiple times"
Please tell me that's a media **** up and not a hail of fire caused by one cop.
I'm in no way disputing the justification, just the method of execution.
I'm sorry, but I have a little problem with YOUR description. Whether there were multiple rounds fired or not, depended on the tactical situation, the details of which we were not privvy to. Also the deceased CAUSED the gunfire , not the officer.
Perhaps that was poor phrasing, yes - the deceased was the ultimate cause of it all, but I would think after he were hit once - I don't think 30 more would be necessary unless he just kept coming.
Have you ever shot anyone with a handgun? Especially if that person was carrying a rifle? A co-worker of mine is alive (and still working!) after being hit thiteen times (yes that was 13!) with a 40S&W. Many times people do not do what Hollywood portrays and fall over on the first hit and become incapacitated. High round-count (or POSSIBLE high round-count) does not mean anything.
Shooting ruled justified.
