A bunch of friends of mine are maintaining this blog to raise awareness of crime around campus.

If anyone knows of a campus with more frequent violent crimes, let me know.

It has an RSS feed too, so you don't have to visit the site all the time to keep abreast of updates.

    Later,

Temple, Philly univ. is pretty friggin bad as far as crime goes.

A student, female, was shot in the head just walking down the street a couple months ago.

There were 30 murders in Philly in a month, last year. ;P

Around here the police shoot people in the head.

One co-ed was on the roof of a house on private property. She was not contributing to a nearby riot. An officer ordered her inside. As she was complying (the whole thing was caught on video), an officer fired a "less lethal" weapon, striking her in the eye and blinding her for life.

The police were subsequently sued and the victim "won".

I believe a similar incident down in Cincinnati resulted in a fatality. Riot control gone wrong.

OSU's riot problem was solved when it was pointed out that riots don't happen when Police patrol an area in appropriate numbers. Something the PD in Toledo could probably learn from next time some unpopular group wants to do a march on their streets.
