I got my Kimber LPT .308 (Light Police Tactical) in at the dealer today. They were closed but let me in to pick it up. I was so excited to get home and mess with it. The trigger is amazing, crisp, smooth 3 pound break. Its almost scary. I used Night Force titanium rings and mounted a Leupold Mark 4 6.5-20X50mm scope. This set up is proubably capable of groups out past 600 plus yards. I can't wait to get some good .308 ammo and give it a go. I hope sighting it in doesnt get expensive. Heres the pictures. Let me know your thoughts.................

Nice looking setup. I can't say anything about the rifle but I do own one of the scopes. It sure is a fine piece of equipment.

Let us know how it performs. I've been checking them out myself, but don't really need one since I don't have access to a decent outdoor range to "stretch the legs" anyway...

What is your opinion of the stock... it looks el cheapo.

My thoughts ?? ... My thoughts are I hope he doesn't like the way it shoots and he sells it to me for a ridiculously low price!! Looks great. I'm sure you'll have a good time sighting it in.

the stocks kimber puts on them have a great feel. very simular in quality to a base mcmillan.

colt, what base is that? i think with a 20 moa base(recomend badger), bed it, and iirc it should have an adjustable trigger that should go down to 1.5lbs, and is set from the factory at 3-3.5 off sandbags you should be able to hold 7 inches @750 yards with the bullet arriving with enough energy to do significant damage.

i think that has the 1-12 twist so heavier (really middle weight like 168 hornady) bullets should stabalize nicely even out to 1,000. you a reloader?

    Great looking rifle.

Try Federal Gold Medal Match and Hornady A-max match in 168grain. I found those 2 the best for mine, and the Hornady is cheaper and more accurate in mune.

Same ammo in 175 grain for beyond 600 yards.
