Oh Sheesh... I bought another ZRX

I pulled into the local Kawasaki dealer (Kellys) and sitting right in front of my truck was a cherry 2004 red ZRX with 6600 miles on the clock. They were asking $4999 and I was able to angle for $5031 OTD + new fork seals (one was weeping). I swiped the VISA and they rolled it into service tonight. My big tax return is going right to the VISA people.

She looks similar to my old 2002 red REX, yet a bit more refined. She's got full stainless exhaust that says "Scorpion" on the side of the can, a red tinted extended windscreen, and upgraded grips and bar ends.

I'll post a piccy when I get 'er home.

She's gonna need tires soon, so please post any good brands or deals if you know 'em. My knowledge of streetbikes is limited (my only other streetbike was the old ZRX).

Last I heard you got hooked up with the moto racing mama, so I think that I need lessons from you.

As far as tires go, I presume that you would want sport touring tires on that ZREX, check out my favorites: Pirelli Diablo Strada or Metzler Roadtech Z6. Good wear, excellent stickiness (for sport touring tires), excellent water displacement (not that you'd need it), good predictability and feedbacks.

Supposedly the new Continental Road Attacks are quite good. My Beemer guru seems to like them as much as the Metzler.

When you're ready to buy, I'll hook you up with a good mail order joint for really nice discount prices.

Well you surely did the right thing, getting that bike!

I've been putting Michelin Pilot Roads on my ZRX. Last rear went 6k miles. No complaints.
