St. Patrick's day night we had some people over and had a late night cookout. and yesterday I was in my roommates room downstairs, and looked out the patio door, and the grill was gone!

It sat out there all winter, and with a bag of charcoal and fluid too!

first nice week of weather and someone steals it?!?

There are at least 15 other grills in the apartment complex. all sitting on their back patios...

Thief musta known the charcoal flavor is so much better than all those gas grills!

I thought my roommates friends might have taken it as a joke or something.. but he asked around and no word on it.

I'm keeping my eyes open to see if its stashed somewhere around here..

I don't want to waste the cops time, but im tempted to just let them know.. think i should? ill probably give the landlord a call too.

    :dunno:

Man, that sucks. You don't mess with a man's family, his dogs, or his grill!

Kind of sad when a man has to chain up and lock his bbq grill, but that's what I've had to do in the last few years.

Did you let somebody test drive it and they just didn't bring it back?

I had my custom "smoker/grill" taken roughly 7 years ago. It was the prototype of what was to be the perfect for me personal, one of kind combination grill, hot smoke, and typical smoker. I spent a lot of time making that thing "just right." I was bummed about it for about a week. Then I found out some people from church my fellowship stole the thing. I drove by their house that night and sure enough, in the backyard sat the smoker/grill. (They had it chained to a tree! )

Long story short, I had to give the upcoming sermon for the school's chapel. As I was preparing the message I kept feeling conviction that I wasn't being forgiving. So I created a message about forgiveness and opened by advising what happened and that I had forgiving the people that took my grill. (Yes one of them was in the audience.)

    So whatareyagonnado???

Maybe he can get some replacement charcoal and go get it back. But then again Home Depot will probably give him the wrong charcoal.

They banned Grills (Charcoal and gas) at our complex. Wish I had one that could be stolen....

    BTW, sorry to hear that.

I'm surprised there were any left to ban. When I lived in Chicago it was impossible to have anything out in your yard. It would be gone overnight if you did.

BBQs with chains are the norm in Chicago.

Man, that sux. I'm sorry. My Weber charcoal has been on the front porch covered in snow all winter. I was just eyeing it yesterday thinking it needs some steaks on it.
