So, we have to eliminate the NRA entirely to do that...?

As corrupt as it's gotten the best thing for the second amendment may be for the existing organization to burn to the ground and only the name and trademark rise from the ashes to be purchased by a true no compromise organization.

Perhaps I overstated. Sure it's worth reform at the top, a necessary voice for a well-armed militia. I just don't have the faith that it can be done. But then I pretty much see the glass half empty these days.

They sure do need a house cleaning, no doubt about it. I`m going to bet that its about to happen.
I bet we see some tophats get thrown overboard to save the NRA. I got no problem with that.

Would seem the lawsuits have to play out before that happens.

    Will,
Is the NRA a grass roots gun owners organization, a Industry Lobbying Group or Both?
One would think the interest of everyone would be in total alignment....... but someone’s agenda always takes the lead.

If little Patron Life member Rotn1 calls and Ruger calls at the same time, who’se call will they take first.
Yes, I know it’s an over-simplification but you get it.

Ollie was making big bucks via the marketing company that the NRA funneled millions through.

    Need to clean house.

I knew Neal and I know his son Jeff. Jeff Knox would make an outstanding NRA EVP. He is an excellent writer and well spoken. I worked on a political campaign for him when he ran for state representative here in Washington state.

He quit his job as a manager of a radio station in Spokane to run for office. After he lost the election, He and his wife moved back to Virginia. He also spent time in Arizona working for Ruger.

You won't find a man more honest and principled than Jeff Knox. He's the kind of guy who it seems, can never get elected to public office.

The NRA isn't suffering from some recent, isolated corruption after over a century of honest advocacy for gun rights. The NRA has been an organization of Fudds that has given nothing but lip service to gun rights for over a century. We can thank the NRA for the passage of the NFA, the GCA, the Hughes Amendment (922o), the BHVPA, the expired disaster of a federal AWB, the bump stock ban, and most recently, in various states, ERPO. The NRA doesn't give a damn about protecting your right to arm yourself against criminals and tyrants. They talk a good game but it's all BS to keep you sending them money....which apparently goes to funding Wayne's lavish lifestyle.

    F the NRA.

Glad I have caller id -- MANY calls from NRA and butt heads never leave a message (go figure).

For this one we would need a good acronym -- you know, like NASCAR. It would have to roll off your lips easier.

What wer need is for all the GT members to nominate and vote for board positions. If we tried our people would have a good chance of winning. Numbers talk.

Quite the opposite, if we continue to ignore the cancer growing in the NRA it will eventually kill the organization.

The state typically would file any applicable Criminal charges and leave any lawsuit for restitution to the involved parties. But this is just a move by the state to destroy a political foe. This is a dangerous move. I despise LaPierre too but this is not good.

If you don't see this for what it is-a purely political ploy to defeat Republicans and supporters of the 2A-then I don't know what to tell you. The NRA has been a very large thorn in the side of Democrats and gun grabbers everywhere. For decades. They want it gone.
And other support organizations for the 2nd? When's the last time you heard any left wing bigot mention any other pro 2a support group?
