Three men sitting stiffly side by side on a long plane flight.

After 30 minutes the man on the left suddenly says distinctly and confidently in a low voice: Admiral, United States Navy, married, two sons, both surgeons.

After another half hour the man on the right reveals through a tight-lipped smile: Admiral, United States Coast Guard, married, two sons, both judges.

Yet another 30 minutes passes before the one in the middle with eyes twinkling, loudly proclaims: Sergeant Major, United States Army, never married, two sons, both Admirals.
