    Good shooting. Very impressive.

How does one go about comforting a deer? Especially a deer in rut that has sharp hooves and can kill a man with little effort? Is there cuddling involved? Perhaps the soft playing of a lute while children sing in a choir?

A second shooter, and two simultaneous heart shots would have made a heck of a wall mount. Missed opportunity there :)

But those poor deer were traumatized. They just needed to be held.

    Comforting... a buck... in rut...

Can we change PETA to RITA? You know, for Retards for the Imbecilic Treatment of Animals? It fits way better. Just sayin'.

Does it count as "comforting" if I wrap my teeth around the backstraps and chew? That is my definition of "comfort food" after all...

If PETA wants the animals to be comforted before their antlers are shot apart, they can do it themselves. Just so long as they don't mind if the officer makes sure the bullet pierces both of their hearts at the same time.
